Each year new tyres are released. Tyre retailers have to be well informed about these new releases to be able to adequately advise their customers. Continental AG provides information about new tyres within interactive web-based trainings that are made available on the learning platform ContiTeamTrophy supported by us.
On the learning platform you may find trainings about products, tyre knowledge and sales talk. What is special about this platform is that by completing the trainings the participants collect experience points. According to their score they are ranked within their team. Thus, the acquisition of knowledge is supported by a competitive element.
When re-launching the platform Continental AG wanted to add an additional gamification approach that creates an incentive to watch specific trainings and to emphasize specific content.

During implementation we chose a classic game concept containing a reward system: a game that consists of various stations dealing with current topics and products. Tyre retailers have to complete the stations in a prescribed sequence. Thereby they collect points and at the same time prepare themselves for the final test. Passing the final test qualifies them for the prize draw: The higher the score, the higher the chance of winning. Our concept enhances the tyre retailers‘ motivation to acquire knowledge and, thus, leads to competent customer service.
The result convinced Continental AG and they already announced to realise further games with us.
